What Is PlutusGifts?

PlutusGifts lets you redeem PLUS for discounted gift cards.

This feature is now being upgraded to offer even bigger discounts, available exclusively to Rare PLU stackers who meet the new unlock criteria within the Reward Levels.

Coming in the next update by 30th June 2025:

• The discount rate for customers not on a Reward Level will adjust to be fixed at 1%.
• The higher your Reward Level, the bigger the discount: 100% off at the top tier.

What Is PlutusSwap Premium?

PlutusSwap on the Premium plan lets you redeem PLUS for £10 monthly card top-ups.

This feature is also being upgraded to offer higher top-up limits, available exclusively to Rare PLU stackers who meet the new unlock criteria within the Reward Levels.

Coming in the next update by 30th August 2025:

• Top-up limits will increase incrementally with select Reward Levels.
• Progress levels = higher top-up limits = more real-world savings!

How It Works

Each month, eligible customers who meet reward level requirements can:

• Redeem PLUS for up to £/€100 card top-up limits
• Claim up to £/€100 in discounted gift cards
• Get access to all other Reward Level features

All new benefits are tiered by Reward Level, from 3% discounts at Noob, up to a full 100% at Titan, with top-up limits ranging from £11/month at Noob to £100/month at Titan.

How Can I Progress If I Can No Longer Earn Rare PLU?

Around 13 million PLU has already been distributed as loyalty rewards for in-app use. While ~70% remains stacked, the rest has been removed by users.

Customers can still progress by re-stacking previously earned and removed PLU.

💡 Top Tip: With no new emissions and a confirmed 3M PLU burn, re-stacking all previously earned and removed PLU makes your stack rarer, unlocking new features.

What If I’m New and Never Earned Rare PLU?

Currently, PLU can no longer be earned, so new customers may not yet be able to progress.
However, we’re working on licensing for a peer-to-peer marketplace (PlutusDEX) where customers can swap PLU and other rewards, stay tuned.

This is a brand-new feature, and we’ve made it incredibly lucrative.

Customers can now redeem PLUS with no fees, starting at £/€10 in value, and with the upcoming update, will be able to unlock up to £/€100 card top-ups per month, plus more savings with gift cards — offering an average annual saving of £/€1,033 from the system, all available with just a £/€19.99/month Premium account.

Who’s Eligible?

To use the new lucrative PlutusGifts and PlutusSwap Premium, you need to:

• Reach a higher Reward Level by stacking the minimum required PLU.
• Stack the minimum PLU required for your current Reward Level before progressing:
  
  Examples:
  
  • If you’re Sub-Only, stack 1 PLU to reach Noob.
  • From Noob, stack 500 PLU on top of your current stack to move above Adventurer.
  • If you’re Chad, stack at least 4,000 PLU to move up above Veteran.
  • If you're Veteran with e.g. 6,018 PLU, stack at least 10,000 PLU more (as shown in the table above) to reach 16,018 PLU and unlock new features as well as the Legend Reward Level.

• The higher you progress, the bigger the savings you unlock.
• You can choose any level to progress to, but you must meet the minimum PLU stack required from your current level for the upgrade to qualify for the new benefits.
• Once qualified, maintain both your stack and level to continue retaining all benefits. 
• The system starts tracking upgrades from 8th June 2025, additional PLU can be stacked incrementally rather than all at once.
• Qualified users will be notified by email before the feature launch on the dates listed below.
• All qualifying upgrades will also be eligible for PlutusCashback and PlutusMiles via Reward Levels, expected in 2025.

Inverse Difficulty Adjustment: Lower Requirement Schedule

To make it easier for you to unlock these exciting new benefits tied to Reward Levels, we’re gradually reducing the stacking requirements over the coming months for a sustainable roll out.

• Starting 8th June: Original stacking requirements apply (live now).
• 25th June (Launch Day): Requirements drop by up to 50%.
• 30th July: Further reductions bring requirements down by up to 70% compared to original.
• 30th August: Requirements lower again by up to 90% from the original required amount.
• 30th December*: Final cut reduces them by up to +99% from the 8th June requirements.

Inverse DA: How it works

Starting 8th June, your connected wallet began tracking progress for Reward Level upgrades. From each reduction date onwards, your wallet must meet the minimum additional PLU stack listed for your tier to unlock the new benefits for both PlutusGifts and PlutusSwap.

To unlock new benefits:

• You must meet the minimum additional PLU stack listed for your current tier.
• You can stack ahead of time, but benefits unlock on each reduction date.
• If the required PLU is in your wallet at any time since 8th June, benefits unlock automatically on the scheduled date (as long as the feature has launched).
• Full Reward Level upgrade is not necessary, as long as the minimum additional stack requirement starting from the reduction date to unlock benefits.

Example:

If you’re at Veteran and add 1,000 PLU now, your access will unlock automatically on 30th October, when the requirement drops to that amount. Your new benefits will remain active from that point onward as long as you continue stacking.

⚠️ Important Notes

• All seven phases of reduction are confirmed, the reduction dates from 30th September to 30th December may change.
• Confirmation of these dates depends on the amount of total earned PLU, previously removed from the system, is re-stacked.
• Reductions from 30th September onwards will be confirmed or adjusted at least 30 days before the listed dates.
• The inverse Difficulty Adjustment helps with a sustainable roll out of valuable features to all customers.
• Since no new PLU is being emitted, only previously earned or unstacked PLU can be used.

Sustainability Model: How Premium Revenue Helps Scaling

We’ve designed the new PlutusGifts and PlutusSwap Premium features to be long-term sustainable and fully self-funded, even at scale.

The model is built around a simple, powerful principle: Premium plan revenue covers the cost of all new utility benefits for those who restack earned PLU, removed from self-custody stacking. This approach benefits customers, Plutus, and the entire ecosystem.

Key Points (Based on Example Model):

• Revenue exceeds cost: The Premium model runs at a ~12% monthly surplus, meaning revenue consistently exceeds the combined cost of the new features. This ensures the system remains profitable and stable, even as more users unlock higher-tier benefits.
• Annual buffer: That monthly margin accumulates into a robust annual buffer, offering significant protection against fluctuations in usage.
• Merchant-backed savings: Roughly 35% of the total cost of PlutusGifts discounts are funded directly by merchants. These savings are still included in the model for transparency, but in reality, they further reduce the platform's net cost by hundreds of thousands per year.
• Scale-neutral: The model is scale-neutral: whether adoption grows or shrinks, the system adjusts proportionally. To preserve balance, some tiers may include caps on how many users can unlock them, without affecting those who already have.

Model Assumptions (Illustrative Only)

This is an example model, it assumes fewer than 10% of projected customers (~18,000 Premium), aligned with current token holders, who are expected to re-stack earned PLU removed from self-custody and upgrade to Premium. Internal figures naturally differ but follow the same principles:

• This is a simplified illustration; internal numbers differ.
• The model reflects fewer than 10% of all time Plutus signups.
• Whether scaled up or down, re-stacking PLU is always required which supports the ecosystem.
• PlutusGifts is available to any customer who qualifies via Reward Level, not just Premium subscribers. It is expected that Starter and Everyday customers who access high-value gift card discounts through level progression will typically upgrade to Premium, as this enables them to benefit from the higher-value PlutusSwap top-ups for which they are now already eligible.
• The system remains robust at scale and in various scenarios using the methodology, however the number of customers who can unlock each tier may be capped to ensure balance. This will not impact customers, who’ve already unlocked benefits.

⚠️ Reminder: This model allows us to confidently commit to no structural changes to these new Reward Level benefits. Any future updates to these new Reward Level benefits or unlock criteria will come with at least 6 months’ advance notice, ensuring predictability and stability for all customers. This does not apply to the rest of the platform where general terms apply,
