Why is Plutus discontinuing the Standard plan?

We’ve decided to discontinue the Standard plan as part of our commitment to providing a premium, high-quality service. Free plans often come with higher instances of fraud, lower engagement, and more resources, which can detract from the experience for our loyal customers. By focusing on paid subscription plans, we can ensure fairness, drive innovation, and prioritise exciting rewards and features that offer you the best value.

When is the Standard plan being discontinued?

The Standard plan will be discontinued on 13th February 2025.

What will happen to my account?

In the interim, your account will be placed in Sleep Mode. Don’t worry—you’ll still have access to many of the same features as before, helping to ensure a smooth transition.

Full Access to Your Funds: Your fiat funds, deposits, and spending remain fully accessible.

🚫 Limited Features: Some features, including rewards, PLU payouts, utilities, and other paid plan functionalities, are unavailable.

Can I make card transactions while my account is in sleep mode?

Yes, you can continue to use your card as usual for transactions, provided you have sufficient balance in your account.

What happens to my deposits if my account is in sleep mode?

You can deposit money into your account, view your balance, and view your statements as usual without any interruptions.

What does sleep mode mean?

Sleep Mode is a temporary account status we apply for various reasons, including compliance, inactivity, or transitions. It ensures you retain access to all fiat-related activities while temporarily limiting advanced features.

What happens if my account is in Sleep Mode for too long?

If your account remains in Sleep Mode for an extended period, we may contact you about closing your account. Don’t worry—you’ll receive at least 30 days’ notice via email before any closures.

How do I exit sleep mode?

To restore full access to your account, simply subscribe to one of our paid plans via the web app. We offer three flexible and rewarding plans for you to choose from.

Need Access to Key Features?

If you require access to features not available on the Standard plan, such as updating important account information (e.g., address changes), you can upgrade to a paid plan. Alternatively, contact our support team, and we’ll be happy to assist you.

Cancelling Subscriptions & Closing My Account

Can I downgrade to Standard?

During the transition period, users on Starter, Everyday, or Premium plans may still have the option to downgrade to the Standard plan. However, as the Standard plan is being discontinued, your account will eventually transition to Sleep Mode. We’ll notify you when this happens. 

If your account remains in Sleep Mode for an extended period, we’ll contact you regarding account closure, ensuring you have ample notice to take any necessary actions.

How do I cancel my subscription plan?

If you wish to cancel your subscription plan, simply contact Support. We’ll cancel your subscription and place your account in Sleep Mode until you’re ready to return. Please note that if your account remains in Sleep Mode for an extended period, we’ll contact you regarding account closure.

How do I close my account?

You can close your account at any time. To do so, simply contact support here and we’ll help guide you through the process.

I have money in my account, what shall I do?

Keeping Your Account: If you’d like to keep your account active, simply subscribe to one of our paid plans. This will allow you to continue depositing, spending, and earning rewards as usual.

Closing Your Account: If you prefer to close your account, you have two options:

1️⃣ Spend Your Balance: Use up the funds in your account until the balance is zero, making it ready for closure.

2️⃣ Transfer Your Balance: Contact our support team, and we’ll assist you in transferring your remaining funds to an account in your name.
