Payout Fees
PLU Rewards earned in-app are designed to provide tangible value when redeemed or used within the Plutus ecosystem. These are in-app loyalty rewards and should not be treated as “cashback”. To request a payout and remove these rewards from the ecosystem, a dynamic fee of 33% is applied in your local currency.
Third-Party Payouts
Transferring rewards from connected to non-connected wallets can lead to restrictions or account closures.
Reward Audits
Payout requests may take 30 days or more to process.
Self-Custody Stacking
We encourage self-custody, PLU can be stacked in personal wallets connected to the app.
CRY Payouts
PLU earned after completing a 12-month stacking period is not subject to third-party payout restrictions and will be offered at lower fees.
Account Usage FAQ
1) Why was my payout rejected due to my account usage?
Productive vs. Non-Productive Status:
Your payout request was declined because your account didn't meet the necessary engagement standards. Accounts are evaluated for consistent, productive use of in-app features and utilities to be eligible for payouts.
- Productive Status: Consistent, active use of in-app features, exploration of CRY benefits, and steady progression through sub-levels.
- Non-Productive Status: Minimal app engagement, with a focus on third-party payouts rather than on in-app rewards and features.
2) What steps can I take to improve my account status for payout requests?
Increase In-app Engagement: Engage actively with the app to improve your account status, which signals productive account usage.
This can include:
- Earning CRY
- Progressing through incremental sub-levels
- Redeeming rewards and unlocking features
- Regularly using in-app utilities (if available)
3) I have been engaging in-app for 30 days and still being rejected for payouts?
If you have engaged with in-app features but are still not eligible, it means you need to continue improving your account status for a longer period and align with our community and products long term in-app engagement goals.
- Try completing a 90-day CRY period.
- Stack rewards and progress to a higher Reward Level.
- Redeem all your rewards on utilities like PlutusSwap (if available).
4) How can I avoid breaching terms with my CRY earnings?
After completing the 12-month CRY stacking period, payout requests are no longer tracked for term violations. You’ll have full access to use any earned PLU freely without impacting your account status. Learn more about CRY here.
5) Can customers stacking for CRY move their PLU to third-party wallets?
CRY is earned by engaging with the app long-term, and it comes from recycled rewards through FUEL. The feature has its own rules that help sustainability:
- Earning CRY: You automatically earn CRY if you are on a Reward Level and stacking PLU, which can be earned through card spending.
- Rules to Keep Your CRY: During the 12-month period, if you move your PLU out of the ecosystem (e.g., to a non-connected wallet), you will lose the CRY you’ve earned. However, in-app activities such as using PlutusSwap or redeeming PLU for utilities (e.g., gift cards and miles) are allowed.
- After 12 Months: Once you’ve completed the 12 months stacking period, you can move your PLU without losing any CRY, and request payouts of additional rewards and move them to any wallet without breaching terms.
In short, this reward system encourages long-term app use to benefit both you and the community. To keep the CRY you earn, simply hold or redeem PLU in the app for a year. After that, you’re free to transfer them out as you wish.
6) Can we move PLU that we received from third party wallets to another third party wallet without restrictions?
If you receive PLU from a third party wallet and stack it in a connected wallet to earn rewards, then later destack, you won’t face payout restrictions if:
- You have not requested third party payouts of earned PLU during this period.
- Completed the 12-month CRY stacking period.
Note: You will forfeit all PLU earned through CRY if you destack before completing the 12-month stacking period, as shown on the Reward Level dashboard.
7) Will I be penalised for requesting PLU Rewards payouts to my Metamask?
Absolutely not! We encourage self-custody stacking, a concept we pioneered in 2015 and remain committed to as a core USP that we won’t compromise on. You are free to request payouts and hold PLU in your MetaMask wallet connected to the Plutus app. You can use this PLU to:
- Stack in your personal wallet to progress through reward levels.
- Redeem for in-app utilities.
Note: Moving earned PLU from your connected wallet to third-party, non-connected wallets is a breach of our Terms of Service . Repeat or combined offences may result in payout restrictions, requiring stacking and earning CRY for 90 days. For more details, please visit: Plutus Help - Breaches of Policy.
