What is PlutusMiles?
PlutusMiles is an exciting way to maximize the value of your PLU! It lets you swap PLU for the ability to purchase miles at heavily discounted rates, that can be used with 25+ airline partners, including Air France, KLM, American Airlines, and more.
What can you do with Etihad Guest Miles?
Etihad Guest Miles can be redeemed for flights, seat upgrades, extra baggage, and airport services. You can also use them for hotel stays, car rentals, shopping, dining, unique experiences, or even donate them to charity. It’s a perfect way to transform your PLU into unforgettable travel opportunities

When will all customers have access to PlutusMiles?
PlutusMiles is already live! As of 20th December 2024, all customers can access this feature directly in the Plutus app. Start swapping PLU for miles today!
How do I redeem PLU for miles?
Swapping PLU for miles is simple:
- Create an Etihad Guest account here (if you don’t already have one).
- Log in to your Plutus App → Swap tab → Miles.
- Enter your Etihad Guest account number.
- Select the amount of PLU you'd like to swap.
- Check your totals and confirm to proceed.
That’s it—your Etihad Guest Miles will be added to your account shortly. While this can take up to 21 days, they often arrive much sooner. Starting in January, you’ll enjoy near-instant access, with miles arriving in as little as two hours.
When will I receive my Etihad Guest Miles?
During the initial Beta phase over the Christmas period, miles can take up to 21 days (typically much sooner). In January after the holiday season, all redemptions will be fulfilled near-instantly.
If your miles haven’t appeared after 21 days, please contact support and provide:
- Your Etihad Guest Number
- The swap date and time
- The number of miles involved

If you did not receive your miles, received an incorrect amount, or generally have questions about your miles, please contact support and we’ll assist you promptly! Make sure to provide:
- Your Etihad Guest Number
- The swap date and time

Etihad Guest Account
How do I redeem my miles?
Once you’ve redeemed your PLU and purchased your miles, you can then redeem those miles for flights, hotels and more. This can be done in two ways:
- Online: Log in to your Etihad Guest account via the website or app and navigate to the redemption section for your desired partner.
- Customer Service: Contact Etihad Guest Customer Service to book flights or redeem miles with partners.

Where can I find my Etihad Guest number?
Your Etihad Guest number is available through several channels:
- Etihad Guest App or Website: Log in to your account, and your member number will appear under your profile details.
- Membership Email: Check the confirmation email you received when signing up for Etihad Guest.
- Physical Membership Card: If you have one, the number will be printed on the card.
- Contact Etihad Customer Service: If you’re unable to find it, reach out to Etihad support for assistance.
How do I update my Etihad Guest number in the Plutus app?
If you need to update your Etihad Guest number, follow these steps:
- Open the Plutus app.
- Go to the Swap screen and tap the three dots in the top-right corner.
- Select Change Etihad Guest Number and enter your updated number.
All future swaps will be sent to the newly updated Etihad Guest number.
What happens if I entered the wrong Etihad Guest number and didn’t receive my miles?
It’s essential to ensure your Etihad Guest number is entered correctly. If your miles were sent to the wrong account, here’s what you can do:
- Check with Etihad Guest: If the miles were used by the incorrect recipient, recovery may not be possible, but we can escalate your case to Etihad to explore options.
- Submit a Missing Miles Claim to Plutus:some text
- Contact Plutus Support via the webform.
- Provide the following information:some text
- The incorrect Etihad Guest number entered.
- The correct Etihad Guest number.
- The date of the swap.
- The number of miles missing.
We’ll work with Etihad to try to resolve the issue, but please note that a resolution cannot be guaranteed.
Will Plutus work with other frequent flyer loyalty programmes like Miles & More?
We’re actively exploring partnerships to give you more options for making the most of your PLU. We'll be expanding to include programmes like Miles & More in the near future. Stay tuned for updates!

Do my Etihad Guest Miles expire?
Yes, Etihad Guest Miles have an expiry date, which depends on your membership tier.
- Bronze, Silver, Gold: Miles expire after 18 months but can be extended.
- Platinum: Miles do not expire.

Fees & Usage
Are miles refundable?
No, once you swap PLU for discounted miles, the transaction is final. Miles cannot be swapped back or refunded.
What is the PLU per Mile exchange rate?
During the beta phase, each 1 PLU can be redeemed for access to 1,000 discounted Etihad Guest Miles. The total cost is calculated based on £/€0.015 per mile rate. For additional details, click here.
Is there a limit to how many miles I can swap for?
During the beta release, there is a 5,000-mile cap per customer. This limit will be removed in Q1 2025, allowing unlimited swaps.
